Although the guys at London’s BLB have a reputation for being kinda dicks, the shop houses what I consider to be the widest selection of track frames in the UK. Stuff from Italy, eastern Europe, locally-produced swag
(Bob Jacksons etc) – it’s all there. They’ve been producing their own frames for a while now, and this is their latest drop, including the Trick, Track and Classic.
And some nice looking cranks too!
I went to BLB last year when I was in the UK. Very cool store with tons of stuff. The staff definitely seemed a bit “Too cool for school” but were none the less very helpful and I got what I needed. I wouldn’t go so far as to say they are dicks.
I had a few shockers at BLB. My favourite was one morning running late, broke my pump, BLB was about 200meters from my house, so ran in there asking if I could use theirs. The dude told me it would be 5quid, or I could buy a new one for 25quid. I ran down the road to Cycle Surgery where they have about 5 pumps standing at the door.
Yea the pump thing always grates me. Never understood why stores want to push it that far. Its quite common in the USA as well. Lame.
