About

A fixed gear bicycle has no freewheel mechanism. The pedals are always in motion when the bicycle is moving. When the rear wheel turns, the pedals turn in the same direction, allowing the cyclist to stop without using a brake (HTFU!) and also to ride in reverse.

FixedgearCapeTown was started to document the fixed gear bicycle community in Cape Town.

Submissions/links/free shit very welcome.
