Nike SB Zoom Salazar Preview

Here’s the first look at Nike SB’s Omar Salazar signature shoe (via HypeBeast).

The Zoom Omar Salazar combines classic (read: Half Cab) styling with Nike’s Flywire technology. Sure, it’s an ape of a classic, but they still look pretty dope. Maybe Baseline and ShelfLife will order some in the blue colourway?

Edit: There’s also two Salazar signature tees due out. Designs include a portrait broken arm tee as well as a tee playing off the “outer space” theme for the sneaker, which happens to be Omar’s nickname.

Vans California 2010 Spring Authentic CA

Ooooof. These are hawt.

From HypeBeast:

“Vans drops a new series of Authentics from its California Collection for Spring 2010. Featured is this standout colorway, pairing a pewter base with red and orange accents. Premium laces and a nylon ripstop upper add a nice new dimension to the timeless silhouette.”

Paul Smith sweater

British designer Paul Smith has always had an affinity for cycling. He only decided on a career in fashion after a serious bicycle accident prevented him from pursuing his dream of being a professional cyclist.

Over the years he’s collaborated with British framebuilder Mercian on a pair of Paul Smith bicycles, and recently designed a range of cycling accessories for Rapha.

Now he’s released this awesome NJS-inspired sweater. Want!

Eddy Merckx in full pursuit

Amsterdam-based Pristine Fixed Gear recently collaborated with graphic designer fvster on this siiiiick t-shirt. The print is based on the classic battle between Bernard Thévenet and Eddy Merckx during the 1975 Tour de France.

I want it so bad.

(Note: I am a M/L. Thank you.)

You can get the t-shirt here.

Heavy Pedal “Bike Fxd” t-shirts

The Heavy Pedal started following our Twitter feed this weekend. We duly returned the favor and it’s a good thing we did, because their site is dope!

Apart from showing Die Antwoord some love, they’ve just released a line of t-shirts. The Nike bite is particularly sweet. They’re on sale here for twenty dorra.

Nice work guys!

I need a bike pack

While I love my messenger bag, there’s some kind of mathematical law which states that the bigger the bag, the more crap I’ll find to put in it.

A pack system like these Fredrick Packers bike packs would be super-handy. There’s enough space for the essentials, but not the towel, pair of shoes, kitchen sink, etc.

Anyone know where I can get something like this in Cape Town?

Hello Again bicycle neckerchief

Tobie was rocking one of these at Critical Mass last month, and I thought the splined chainring centre graphic was a particularly nice touch.

Pretty rad, right?

He was kind enough to give me one after our ride this morning (more on that later). These pictures totally don’t do it justice, but in the absence of proper product shots, they’ll have to do.

They’re selling for fifty ront at Hello Again in four different colours. Get involved.

ZLOG Winter 2010 tees

ZLOG’s stuff rocks. My “Chain Cult” and “Drop Bars not Bombs” tees have been getting some heavy rotation in the last six months, so it’s a good thing they’re releasing some new designs.

My particularly digging the “Illuminati” tee.
