DVS x Cadence Toekeo
Speaking of Keo, I just peeped these over at Zlog. Could these signature shoes form part of the DVS x Cadence collection?
DVS x Cadence – a closer look
The Foot Down posted a few shots of the DVS x Cadence Milan CTCs. Word is they feature a lace protector on the tongue and are slim enough to fit into cages (if that’s how you roll).
The yellow pair are lush:
And I like the Stone Roses-inspired t-shirt, too.
These will be available through the more discerning South African stockists in June/July. Keep checking FGCT for info about the launch!
Brooks x Vans
Tracko got the scoop on a collab between Brooks and Vans. The pairing makes sense to me: most fixed gear riders have an affinity for Vans (massive generalisation but hey) and Brooks makes legit olde-type saddles. No word whether saddle and shoes are being sold separately or as part of a set.
Looking forward to finding out more!
Vans AV6: Old Sk/Era?
As seperate entities, the Vans Old Skool and Era are two of my favourite shoes. But I’m not quite sure how I feel about having them squished together like this:

From highsnobiety:
“For his sixth design, Anthony Van Engelen fused two classics to make a third one. Using a time-honored Vans design technique, he blended the Old Skool and Era together for a new twist on timeless Vans skate product. This shoe features upgraded performance features and clean sidestripe styling. Van Engelen’s influence is evident in the heritage-based utility colors and materials.”
Maybe it’ll grow on me.
DVS x Cadence update
More info on the collaboration between DVS and Cadence.
I’m really looking foward to seeing how these turn out. The collaboration with a credible skate shoe company and legit fixed gear clothing manufacturer sounds great. Good news is that the shoes will be available LOCALLY through Revolution. Thanks for the tip-off Jon!

Palace 5ive x Vans SK8-Hi Vert-Pro
Nice and clean. I like these.

From HypeBeast:
“Vans teamed up with Washington DC-based Palace 5ive for a special Holiday release of the Vans SK8-Hi Vert-Pro.
In a nod to the original Ballistic SK8-Hi Vans Syndicate released in 2006, the shoe features chess ford ballistic mesh and benecke ceraprene as well as a hex nut 3rd lace hole, white perforated leather liner & contrast stitching alongside blue wax laces as well as a traditional white lace option.
Limited to only 200 pairs worldwide, the shoe drops on Saturday, December 12th.”

In4mation x Vans Chukka Low
NY-based streetwear brand In4mation is collaborating with Vans on the Chukka Low model. The shoes, crafted from canvas, feature a blue, red, and white colorway, fully equipped with gum midsoles.

Vans Vault Garment Pack

“One of Vans Vault’s nicer releases of the season comes in the form of its Garment Pack, which consists of a Half Cab and 106 LX. Both take on a mostly grey base with black toe boxes and accenting throughout. They are now available through select Vans Vault retailers.”
