Wow, these would look great in my living room! These posters actually form part of a cycling piece for the Portland Mercury, and were the result of a collaboration between Nicole Lavelle and Portland-based design duo Liz Meyer and Gavin Potenza from Script & Seal.

The spot looks completely sick! Apparently there’s an event in the pipeline. I can imagine some serious Mad Max-style sprints (and spectacular crashes) going down…
In support of the Cadence X DVS shoe shipping this month, DVS and Cadence have partnered up on a global racing event designed to bring out the world’s strongest cyclists.
With 12 major race events held in 12 major cities around the world, Fast Forward is designed to draw the global cycling community together and shed light on some of the best underground riders. Winners from each race will have the opportunity to compete in the prestigious final race, Fast Friday in San Francisco.
Here’s some footage from the Los Angeles leg, held at the Encino Velodrome this weekend.

“The first (six day) races were torturous marathon endurance tests, with individual riders racing 24-hours for six days, the winner being the one to cover the most distance over the six days. The races were often held in cold smoke-filled velodromes, the racers using alcohol, amphetamines and cocaine to help take the strain of 144 hours on the track.”
